Sermo Planet

Sermo Planet, inspired by the rich meaning of the word and the diverse ways in which we respond to it, presents a fascinating digital illustration that captures one unique day on a planet called ‘Sermo’. Each day on this extraordinary planet lasts for a precise duration of 12 hours, and remarkably, after the conclusion of two consecutive days, all settings and conditions on the planet are automatically reset. At the end of this two-day cycle, a new “sentence” appears, which serves to deliver thought-provoking messages automatically to the various characters inhabiting the planet. Today’s impactful sentence, “You will be fine,” resonates deeply and leads to varied reactions from seven distinct characters, each with their own unique personalities and professions. Through this piece, I aimed to delve into the weight and significance of words while simultaneously showcasing the dynamic world of digital illustration.
